Emma Richardson's profile

Why did you become a Natal Hypnotherapist?

I used Natal Hypnotherapy myself to have an amazing relaxed home birth and so can personally endorse the power of this technique.

I chose to train as a midwife because I find pregnancy and birth fascinating and I love working with and helping women and their partners to have positive pregnancy and birth experiences.

I am passionate about helping women and their partners to overcome the fear associated with childbirth and instead welcome the experience. I feel that being a Natal Hypnotherapy Practitioner enables me to empower women to achieve this. I am truly passionate about natural, instinctive childbirth and I want to help as many women as possible to have a birth experience as beautiful as mine.

My three main philosophies around birth are:-

Relaxation and preparation is the key to a happy & healthy pregnancy, birth, newborn baby, mum and dad.

A woman’s body was created to nurture an unborn baby and then instinctively birth that baby when the time is right.

Knowledge and understanding of the birth process empowers women and their partners and ensures they remain in control throughout pregnancy and childbirth.
